Banyule City Council is embarking on a significant organisation-wide transformation that will reshape how it delivers services to the community.
Over the next four years, they're redesigning their operating model, modernising core business systems, implementing Azure Integration Services, Power Platform and Microsoft Dynamics 365, and embedding new ways of working across the organisation.
To support this journey, they're seeking a Program Technical Lead – Integration to provide senior technical delivery expertise across their Business Transformation Program.
The Opportunity
You'll provide deep technical analysis, solution design and implementation guidance for integration and automation initiatives, translating business and system requirements into robust, implementation-ready solution artefacts.
Working closely with architects, developers, infrastructure teams, vendors and business stakeholders, you'll resolve complex technical design issues, manage dependencies and support quality delivery outcomes — with a focus on Azure Integration Services, Power Platform, API, messaging, orchestration and event-driven approaches.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the technical detail while still shaping how a program's integration architecture holds together end to end.
This is a senior position within the four-year Business Transformation Program, based in Melbourne's Northern suburbs (hybrid working — minimum 3 days onsite).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead analysis and technical design for integration and automation initiatives, translating requirements into implementation-ready solution artefacts
- Design enterprise integration solutions using Azure Integration Services, including messaging, orchestration, API and event-driven approaches
- Provide senior technical leadership for Power Platform solution design, aligned to platform governance, security and supportability requirements
- Apply enterprise integration architecture principles, standards and reusable design patterns to improve consistency and scalability
- Work closely with architects, developers, infrastructure teams and vendors to resolve design issues and manage dependencies
- Support the adoption of CI/CD and DevOps practices, including source control, build and release pipelines and environment management
- Lead technical analysis workshops, design reviews and assurance activities to validate solution approaches and identify risks
- Mentor Integration Analysts and support knowledge transfer, establishing repeatable practices for integration and automation delivery
About You
You bring technical depth and the judgement to guide complex, multi-system integration work with confidence.
You'll bring:
- Extensive senior experience in integration, automation, solution design or comparable enterprise technology delivery roles within complex, multi-system environments
- Expert knowledge of Azure Integration Services, including API management, messaging, orchestration and event-driven approaches
- Deep knowledge of Power Platform solution design, integration, automation, governance and supportability requirements
- Practical experience with CI/CD practices and DevOps ways of working, with Azure DevOps experience considered beneficial
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration architecture principles, reusable design patterns and assurance practices
- A tertiary qualification in information technology, computer science, engineering, business systems or a related discipline, or extensive equivalent senior experience
