Program Manager

Technology Program Manager – Enterprise Transformation
Melbourne | Financial Services / Superannuation | Fixed-Term Contract
We are partnering with a leading Australian superannuation fund to appoint an experienced Technology Program Manager to play a key role in a significant enterprise transformation program.
This is an opportunity to lead complex technology delivery as the organisation transitions to a new administration provider and establishes the technology capabilities required to support its future operating model.
Working closely with the Program Director, Enterprise Architect and broader program leadership team, you will take ownership of the technology workstreams, ensuring solutions are delivered successfully, integrated effectively and ready for operational adoption.
The Opportunity
The organisation has recently completed a significant discovery phase and is now progressing into detailed planning and delivery.
Two immediate technology priorities include:
  • Data Warehouse Uplift: Leading the expansion and enhancement of the existing data warehouse capability to support increased data flows, integrations and future scalability.
  • Enterprise Integration Capability: Overseeing the establishment of a new integration layer, including API connectivity and service bus capability, to enable effective communication between internal systems and the new administration ecosystem.
The broader program encompasses architecture, data, applications, infrastructure, cyber security, testing, deployment and operational transition.
This is a genuine Program Manager position requiring someone who can operate strategically while remaining close to the detail of technology delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple technology workstreams within a complex enterprise transformation program.
  • Translate technology strategy and architecture into practical delivery roadmaps, integrated plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Manage technology vendors, implementation partners and internal delivery resources, ensuring accountability for agreed milestones and deliverables.
  • Oversee data, integration, infrastructure, application and security-related delivery activities.
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Architecture to ensure technical designs are practical, scalable and aligned with business requirements.
  • Manage program budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, issues and governance requirements.
  • Coordinate technology decision-making and provide clear, concise reporting to senior executives and program governance forums.
  • Ensure appropriate regulatory, security, risk and compliance obligations are incorporated throughout delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with business, change and operational teams to support successful implementation and transition into BAU.
About You
We are seeking an established Technology Program Manager with substantial experience delivering complex, multi-stream technology programs within highly regulated environments.
You will bring:
  • Significant experience leading enterprise technology programs, ideally within superannuation, banking, wealth management or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud environments, API integrations, middleware and enterprise technology architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering data platforms, data migrations, system integrations or enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
  • Proven capability managing external technology vendors, commercial arrangements and complex delivery dependencies.
  • Strong program governance, financial management, resource planning and risk management expertise.
  • The ability to engage confidently with technical specialists while translating complex technology matters into meaningful business outcomes.
  • A collaborative, pragmatic leadership style with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive delivery accountability.
Experience with superannuation administration platforms, administration transitions or large-scale operating model transformation is preferred.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This is an opportunity to join a significant transformation at a pivotal stage, with the ability to influence how technology capabilities are established and delivered.
You will work alongside an experienced, collaborative leadership team in an organisation that values accountability, genuine relationships and a practical approach to achieving outcomes.
The role offers considerable scope, executive exposure and the opportunity to deliver technology capabilities that will have a lasting impact on the organisation.
