PMO Coordinator

Melbourne VIC, Australia fixed_term hybrid $130,000 – $140,000 / year
This purpose-driven organisation plays a nationally significant role in supporting and advancing its professional community. As part of a major enterprise transformation, our client is strengthening its delivery capability and is seeking a hands-on PMO Lead to support a large, multi-stream program of work.
About the role
Working closely with the Program Manager and Project Managers, this role is focused on the operational mechanics that keep the program moving - governance coordination, financial management, reporting cadence, vendor administration, and delivery support.
You’ll play a critical role in bringing structure, visibility, and consistency across the program while helping uplift and optimise existing PMO processes and governance practices.
This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract, with potential to extend a further 6 months. Hybrid working, 2 days onsite.
  • Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day coordination and operations of a large transformation program
  • Manage governance activities including Steering Committees, reporting packs, RAID registers, and delivery reporting
  • Coordinate stakeholders across Project Managers, vendors, and delivery teams
  • Oversee PMO financial administration including invoices, payments, forecasts, Statements of Work, and Change Requests
  • Maintain accurate program documentation, reporting, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
  • Support governance compliance, reporting cadence, and continuous improvement of PMO processes and ways of working
About You
While the title is PMO Lead, this is a highly hands-on role that would suit someone from a PMO Analyst, PMO Coordinator, Program Coordinator background who enjoys fast-paced transformation environments and wants the opportunity to step up within a large enterprise program.
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation or multi-project programs
  • Strong exposure to governance, Steering Committee reporting, RAID management, and delivery coordination
  • Experience managing financial administration including invoicing, budgets, SoWs, or cost tracking
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous and evolving delivery environments
  • Proactive, resilient, and able to work with pace under pressure
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Collaborative and hands-on approach with a mindset for continuous improvement
