Business Analyst

Melbourne VIC, Australia fixed_term hybrid
The opportunity
Our client is an established industry superannuation fund investing in its technology, internal capability and member experience.
As the organisation builds its in-house Transformation & Delivery function, two opportunities have become available for experienced Business Analysts to help deliver its strategic initiatives.
You’ll join a small, collaborative team where people work closely together across the full project lifecycle. This is an opportunity to take ownership, build strong stakeholder relationships and help shape delivery practices as the function grows.
The role
Working with internal business teams and external service providers, you’ll translate business needs into clear requirements and practical solutions, keeping member outcomes at the centre of delivery. The transformation pipeline includes digital platforms, data management, process digitisation, member experience improvements, governance and compliance systems, finance improvements and system integrations.
These are fixed-term contracts until 30 June 2027, based in the Melbourne CBD (hybrid 3 days per week in the office)
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation.
  • Facilitating workshops to understand business needs, resolve questions and agree priorities.
  • Developing end-to-end process maps and procedure documentation.
  • Maintaining requirements traceability throughout delivery.
  • Supporting and performing user acceptance testing, ensuring solutions meet agreed requirements.
  • Identifying risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
  • Supporting projects across Agile and hybrid delivery environments.
  • Contributing to broader project delivery activities and continuous improvement within the team.
About you
You’re an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys hands-on delivery and working closely with stakeholders. You bring structure to ambiguity, communicate clearly and are comfortable contributing across different aspects of a project.
You’ll bring:
  • At least five years’ experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience in the superannuation sector, including knowledge of superannuation platforms and administration systems.
  • Experience delivering digital platform initiatives and regulatory change.
  • Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven capability in requirements documentation, process mapping and UAT.
  • Experience working across Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Strong planning, organisation and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach and a clear focus on member outcomes.
  • CBAP, Agile BA or Scrum certifications would be well regarded.
Why join?
You’ll be part of a supportive, approachable team that values practical contribution, shared ownership and continuous improvement. The culture is collaborative, with low ego and the flexibility to work through challenges together. With the delivery function still evolving, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how the team works while contributing to a varied transformation portfolio.
If you’re a Business Analyst with superannuation experience looking for variety, ownership and the opportunity to contribute to a growing transformation team, we’d love to hear from you.
