The Opportunity
A leading, high-growth local government organisation in Melbourne's northern corridor is seeking an experienced Applications Specialist (TechnologyOne Cloud) to join its IT Infrastructure & Operations team.
Serving as the primary functional and technical authority for the organisation's enterprise SaaS environment, you will play a central role in driving platform health, user adoption, system enhancements, and process optimisation across the OneCouncil ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Administration: Oversee daily operations, workflows, forms, business rules, and role-based permissions across the TechnologyOne Cloud / CiAnywhere platform.
- Release & Lifecycle Management: Coordinate SaaS upgrades, patches, user acceptance testing (UAT), release schedules, and deployment plans.
- Functional Ownership & Support: Deliver Level 2 functional support, conduct root cause analyses, and partner with internal teams across diverse modules (e.g., Financials, Property & Rating, Procurement, HR, Asset Management, CRM).
- Business Analysis & Improvement: Collaborate with internal departments to gather business requirements, design process improvements, and unlock maximum value from existing software capabilities.
- Integrations & Reporting: Assist with API integrations, data exchange, identity management, and the delivery of enterprise dashboards and operational reports.
- Governance & Vendor Relations: Maintain strict access governance, data integrity, and security standards while managing operational relationships and SLAs with TechnologyOne and external partners.
What You Bring
- Proven track record in administering, configuring, and supporting TechnologyOne Cloud or CiAnywhere environments.
- Broad functional exposure across core TechnologyOne modules.
- Solid grasp of SaaS operations, IT change management, release governance, and incident resolution.
- Practical understanding of system integration principles, APIs, and modern reporting tools.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
Desirable Skills
- TechnologyOne Certified Consultant accreditation.
- Prior experience within a local government OneCouncil environment.
- Working knowledge of Jira Service Management, Power BI, or Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks.
